NASHVILLE, TN (November 7, 2011) ‐ For the past 12 years, Puckett’s has offered a full holiday menu at each of their locations. This year, the award‐winning restaurant continues its commitment by offering their famous holiday spread for Thanksgiving and Christmas. In addition to pick‐up orders, the Franklin and Nashville location will offer a full holiday buffet from 10am – 3pm on Thanksgiving Day.

This will be the first year Puckett’s in Franklin has been open for Thanksgiving. Last year, Puckett’s in downtown Nashville had a great local response. “It was such a joy to serve the downtown community and give them a place to come and enjoy a home‐cooked holiday meal with the Puckett’s family,” said Puckett’s owner Andy Marshall. “We are excited to provide that same experience for our friends in Franklin this year.”

The Marshalls say everything from the cornbread stuffing to the sweet potato casserole are made‐from‐scratch family recipes. “Most everything on our holiday menu are dishes our own family has served for years. Some have even come from our employees and their own family traditions,” Marshall said.

The exclusive menu includes a variety of meats including Puckett’s famous smoked, roasted or fried turkey, smoked buffet ham, juicy beef tenderloin, cherry smoked pulled BBQ pork, smoked baby back ribs and roasted chicken.

The assortment of home‐style vegetables and sides also offer savory flavors of the season. Cornbread stuffing, green beans, broccoli and rice casserole, mashed potatoes, corn pudding, squash casserole, sweet potato casserole, cranberry relish and yeast rolls are the perfect complement to Puckett’s delicious meat offerings. And of course, a holiday meal just isn’t complete without southern pie specialties such as buttermilk chess, chocolate chess, pumpkin and maple pecan. Homemade cobblers are also available.

The all‐you‐can‐eat Thanksgiving buffet will feature smoked turkey, holiday ham, and fried chicken with all the fixins’. Reservations are recommended. About Puckett's Gro. & Restaurant
Founded by the Puckett family in the 1950s, Puckett's has served as a country store to several communities in Williamson County. Andy Marshall bought the Leiper's Fork Puckett's Grocery in 1998. In 2002, Puckett's branched out to start a formal dinner and music program. With all of the talented writers in and around town, the Friday night writers' show grew fast with people coming from all over to hear some of the finest that the industry has to offer in a cool, eclectic environment. Shortly after that, another opportunity opened up to expand Puckett's to Marshall's hometown and first love for community, in Historic Downtown Franklin.

Rob Robinson and his family now own the Leiper's Fork location, while the Marshall family expanded to the Downtown Nashville community in November 2010.
