Teammates for Toys

Tennessee Titans players Jordan Babineaux, Daniel Graham and Shaun Smith have teamed up with Puckett’s Restaurant & Grocery for a special toy holiday effort – Teammates for Toys, where they are asking all Titans fans and Puckett’s patrons to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the downtown Nashville Puckett’s location (500 Church Street) anytime from December 2nd through December 18th to benefit two area non-profit organizations.  Everyone that drops off a toy will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing to win one of three pairs of tickets to the Titans vs. Jaguars game on Christmas Eve, courtesy of the three players.

Once the toys are collected, the players and Puckett’s will host youth from Project S.E.E. and the women and children of the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter for a special, private Christmas party in their honor.

Babineaux, Graham and Smith will be at Puckett’s on Friday, Dec. 2nd to kick-off the toy drive, meet patrons, take photos and sign autographs prior to the Friday night show at Puckett’s featuring HiPower, which features a roster of some of the most talented musicians in the Nashville area.

"At Puckett’s, we always love making Christmas special for children in our local community" said Puckett’s owners Andy and Jan Marshall.  "What better way to help than providing toys for children at our local YWCA and Project SEE.  It is an honor to join forces with these big-hearted Titan players for this holiday effort.  We hope that our downtown Nashville community joins us all to help children right in our area."

About Puckett's Gro. & Restaurant
Founded by the Puckett family in the 1950s, Puckett's has served as a country store to several communities in Williamson County. Andy Marshall bought the Leiper's Fork Puckett's Grocery in 1998. In 2002, Puckett's branched out to start a formal dinner and music program. With all of the talented writers in and around town, the Friday night writers' show grew fast with people coming from all over to hear some of the finest that the industry has to offer in a cool, eclectic environment. Shortly after that, another opportunity opened up to expand Puckett's to Marshall's hometown and first love for community, in Historic Downtown Franklin.

Rob Robinson and his family now own the Leiper's Fork location, while the Marshall family expanded to the Downtown Nashville community in November 2010.
